Beat Asthma Friendly Sports Clubs
The Beat Asthma Friendly Clubs award has been initiated to encourage various groups to develop safe, healthy and inclusive environments for young people with asthma. The Beat Asthma Friendly Clubs (BAFC) aims to support the community in understanding and managing asthma and is specifically for sports clubs and groups in the North East and North Cumbria ICS footprint.
North East and Cumbria Paediatric Asthma and Allergy (NECPAAC)
The Child Health and Wellbeing Network Asthma Leadership Group supported PANNEC (Paediatric Asthma Network North East and Cumbria) to present the systemwide NECPAAC (North East and Cumbria Paediatric Asthma and Allergy) conference in June 2023. The purpose of the session was to offer pragmatic advice and guidance based on patient journey and experience and aimed to improve asthma care in the community by improving awareness, skill, knowledge and confidence to more effectively manage risk and improve experiences and quality of life for children with Asthma. The conference offered a series of interactive workshops for colleagues to chose from throughout the day. The event was aimed at a wide ranging audience including wider education, social care, housing and pharmacy professionals as well as a wide range of health professionals.
My life my future (MLMF)
My Life, My Future (MLMF) has been developed by Transitions Lead at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. MLMF is a person-centred, transition planning tool, for young people from age 11+, who are living with long term health conditions. It can be used to consult with disabled young people or those who find it harder to speak up for themselves. MLMF has been updated and reviewed several times and now includes resources from Alstrom Syndrome UK (ASUK), Transition Knowledge and Skills (T-KASH) logos.
Pneumonia (after diagnosis)
Advice intended for parents/carers taking their child home after seeing a healthcare professional Pneumonia is infection of one or both of the lungs and can be caused by viruses and bacteria. Usually only part of the lung is affected. It can affect people of any age, but is more common and can be more serious in young children.

My Life My Future How-to guide 2023
My Life, My Future (MLMF) is a person-centred, transition planning tool, for young people from age 11+, who are living with long term health conditions. It can be used to consult with disabled young people or those who find it harder to speak up for themselves. It was originally based around The Transition Pathway: guidance and tools to support person-centred transition planning with young disabled people aged 13–25.
