Children and Young People’s Service – South Tyneside and Sunderland
Looking after your mental health
A team of professionals who offer support and advice to aid mental health and positive well-being.
Our service works with children and young people aged 0-18 who may be showing signs of emotional distress and/or behavioural difficulties. We aim to deal with such difficulties at the earliest possible stage of intervention in the hope that children and young people will develop skills and resilience to promote positive well-being.

Sunderland Counselling Service and Sunderland All Together Consortium
Good Vibes
We offer counselling to young people from the age of 11 to 25 who attend a youth club in the Sunderland area. This gives young people a place to come and talk about anything that may be upsetting them, getting them stressed or angry. The counsellor doesn't judge or say what you need to do, but helps you to explore what is causing you difficulties and helps you to decide what will help you. Within the youth clubs there are an assortment of different activities young people can access.
Website: www.sunderlandcounselling.org.uk
The opening days and hours differ according to the opening hours of the different youth provisions, but the sessions are offered after school hours. Each youth club advertises their opening times and what they offer on Facebook.
